DiabetEASE Project: Introduction
  • Description
DiabetEASE: Education, Awareness, Support, and Empowerment for Diabetes Management in Education and Sports Project

DiabetEASE aims to improve inclusion, safety, and wellbeing for children with diabetes in educational and sports settings. By addressing the barriers faced by children with chronic health conditions, the project supports the creation of responsive learning environments that promote equal participation, diversity, and inclusion.

The project focuses on increasing awareness and understanding of diabetes among teachers, physical education (P.E.) teachers, physiotherapists, coaches, and non-formal educators. Through targeted training and accessible educational resources, DiabetEASE equips professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to support children with diabetes effectively.

By strengthening educators’ competences and providing evidence-based tools, DiabetEASE contributes to safer, more inclusive schools and sports environments where all children can thrive.
